Patriot Golfers Earn MSC All-Academic Honors

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men and Women's Golf programs are taking to the links this week as they compete in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championships in Bowling Green, Kentucky. As the Patriots push to take home another conference championship, officials from the MSC announced today their yearly academic awards.

Eight Patriot males along with four Patriot ladies were awarded Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference awards. Twenty-Eight men along with twenty-two women earned the academic honor this year in the conference. In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.

The Patriot men to earn the honor this year were Martin Jacobsson (Stenkullen, Sweden), Ben Kendrick (Danville, KY), David Krueger (Grayslake, IL), Florian Loutre (Le Mans, France), Kevin McCracken (Gauteng, South Africa), Michael Murphy (Shephardsville, KY), Lee Robinson (Lawrenceburg, KY), and Matt Thomsen (Brookfield, WI).

The Patriot ladies to earn the honor this year were Latoshia Davis (Williamsburg, KY), Candice Lindeque (Boksburg, South Africa), Rachel Pingleton (Parksville, KY), and Kaitlyn Riley (Lawrenceburg, KY).

UP NEXT

The Patriots will continue their play at the Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, KY for the MSC Championship Tournament through April 20th.
