UC Bowling Finishes Strong at Thomas Burris Memorial

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men and Women's Bowling teams were back in action this past weekend as they had a full schedule of competition. The Patriots first stop was the Thomas Burris Memorial in Lexington, Kentucky, where they would participate against all the other bowling programs in the Mid-South Conference (MSC). This tournament would be a true testament to what UC's programs are made of and to see where they stand against rivals in the MSC.

BY THE NUMBERS

The men's team finished 8th of 13 teams overall, and 7th of 12 MSC squads. The Patriots would rack up a five game total of 4,147 and 1,920 points in 3 Baker games for an overall score of 6,067.

• Darion Hite (Hillsborough, NC) finished 12th overall with a total score of 904.
• Adam Thress (Lancaster, OH) finished 13th with a total of 899 points.
• Rounding out the Top 40 was Brad Paynter (Carlisle, OH) as he finished in 28th place with 831 points.

The women's team finished 4th overall out of 11 teams, all MSC competition. The Patriot ladies racked up 4,141 points in 5 games and 1,862 points in the 3 Baker games for an overall total of 6,003 points.

• Finishing in the Top 15 was Shannon Jones (Eagle River, KY), earning a 13th place finish overall with 880 points.
• Nicole Eades (Lexington, KY) finished in 22nd place with 847 total points.
• Amanda Kelly (Georgetown, KY) followed in 24th place with 836 points.
• Autumn Cooney (Lancaster, OH) came in at 35th with 797 total points.
• Jill Bunnell (Franklin, OH) rounded out the Top 40 with a 40th place finish with 781 points.
