Patriots Set to Compete at NAIA Cross Country National Championships
The University of the Cumberlands cross country team is being represented by five individuals this week at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships. The team arrived on Thursday to begin practicing on the course in preparation for Saturday's championship race. The women will go first running the 5k with a start time at 10:30 am CST as the men will follow running the 8k at 11:30 am CST.

Eight Patriots Garner Daktronics-NAIA Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Honors
The office for the NAIA released today the list of NAIA Cross Country Scholar Athletes prior to todays awards ceremony and banquet. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Patriots' Strong Showing Squandered by Blue Raiders in MSC Semi
The UC Men's Soccer team showed a ton of passion and heart tonight on the field as they took on top seeded Lindsey Wilson College in the Mid-South Conference Tournament Semifinals. Lindsey Wilson would find the back of the net midway through the first half, but UC would battle all night looking for a goal of their own. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful as the Patriots fell to LWC 1-0, ending their season with an overall record of 6-11-3.

UC Women's Basketball would face the Lynx of Lindenwood University-Belleville on Saturday on Saturday on the second day of play in the Georgetown College Habitat Classic. Back and forth action in the first half between the Patriots and Lynx saw UC enter the locker room with a 25-24 lead. A couple of runs in the second half would spell demise for the Patriots as they fell to the Lynx 57-53, sending UC to 2-1 overall on the season.
