Men's Soccer Earns Fourth Seed in Mid-South Tournament

In his first year at the helm, head coach Chris LeFevre has guided the University of the Cumberlands men's soccer team to a 5-10-3 overall record, including a 3-3-1 mark in conference play and the fourth seed in the Mid-South Conference tournament. The Patriots will face fifth-seed Shawnee State on Friday, November 4, at 8:30 p.m. with the games being played at Warren East High School in Bowling Green, KY.

Fast Start Not Enough as Patriots Fall in Overtime

The University of the Cumberlands men's basketball team got off to a fast start and had Marquis Yates (SR/Manassas, VA) hit a game-tying three at the buzzer to force overtime but it wasn't enough as the Patriots fell 79-76 to Indiana University Southeast Tuesday night at the O. Rollins Center. With the win the Grenadiers move to 1-1, while the Patriots fall to 2-1.

Volleyball Falls to LWC 3-0

UC Volleyball returned to Mid-South Conference play on Tuesday night as they traveled to Columbia to take on fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson College (LWC). The Patriots were hoping to defeat Blue Raiders, but LWC would shut the Patriots out 3-0 by scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-17. The win takes Lindsey Wilson to 27-1 overall and 12-1 in MSC play as the loss moves UC to 20-8 on the season and 8-5 in conference play.

Patriots Earn Fourth Seed in Mid-South Tournament

In his second year at the helm, head coach Stephan Hamilton has led the University of the Cumberlands women's soccer team to a 9-8-1 overall record including a 3-3-1 mark to earn the fourth seed in the Mid-South Conference tournament. The Patriots will face fifth-seed Shawnee State on Thursday, November 3, at 8:30 p.m. with the games being played at Warren East High School in Bowling Green, KY.

The University of the Cumberlands women's swimming and diving team are ranked fourth in the initial NAIA coaches' poll, released by the national office Thursday. The Patriots are coming off their most successful season in school history, where they finished fifth at nationals.

The University of the Cumberlands men's swimming and diving team is ranked sixth in the first NAIA Coaches' Poll, released by the national office Thursday. The Patriots returned 14 swimmers from last year's squad and are off to a 2-0 record this season.

The University of the Cumberlands volleyball team returned to Mid-South Conference action on Tuesday night as they were defeated by Campbellsville (CU) 3-0. With the win, Tigers improve to 21-8 overall and 8-3 in conference play, while the Patriots fall to 19-7 overall and 8-4 against the Mid-South Conference.

Women's Golf Victorious at St. Andrews Fall Invitational

UC Women's Golf continued their dynamic play on Tuesday in the St. Andrews Fall Invitational in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Firing the low round of the day as a team again, the Patriot ladies would be victorious for the fifth time during the fall, coming away with the 33-stroke win. This win gives the Patriots the sweep of the fall, winning all five tournaments they took part in.

The University of the Cumberlands men's soccer team scored in 84th minute but it wasn't enough as Martin Methodist scored in the second overtime to defeat the Patriots 2-1 Tuesday afternoon at the Patriots Soccer Complex. With the win the RedHawks improve to 5-8-3, while the Patriots fall to 5-9-3.

The University of the Cumberlands men's golf team had a six shot improvement in the second round to move them up two spots and finish tied for fourth place at the St. Andrews Fall Invitational, Tuesday afternoon at the Scotch Meadows Golf Course. The Patriots carded a two-round total of 610.

Ahmed Ghatwary (SO/Cairo, Egypt) made a career-high 13 saves to lead the University of the Cumberlands men's soccer team to a 0-0 draw with (RV) Georgia Gwinnett, Saturday night at the Grizzly Soccer Complex. With the draw the Patriots move to 5-8-3 overall while the Grizzles are 8-3-3.

UC Football took to the road on Saturday as they faced the Bears of the University of Pikeville (UPike) in Mid-South Conference East Division play. It was a tale of two halves as UC carried a 7-3 lead into halftime, but 28 unanswered points from the Bears would propel them to a 31-7 win over the Patriots, dropping UC to 3-5 on the season (2-2 MSC East).
