University of the Cumberlands recently hosted a commissioning ceremony on campus for four of its graduating Army ROTC cadets, now second lieutenants.

University of the Cumberlands proudly recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional achievement in academics, service, and leadership. Each year, select students are chosen to receive scholarships in recognition of their accomplishments and character. Xiang "Nemo" Li has been honored with the Milton Murphey Missions Service Award.

The Mary Mildred Sullivan Award honors a female student from the senior class who has made significant contributions to university life while demonstrating outstanding spiritual values.

The A.T. Siler Memorial Service Award is presented to a female student in their junior year of study who is expected to make an outstanding contribution to her community in the future.

The T.E. Mahan Memorial Service Award is presented to a male student in their junior year of study who is expected to make an outstanding contribution to his community in the future.

The T.J. Roberts Campus Leadership Award is given to a graduating senior who has exemplified the roles and qualities of leadership on campus while maintaining high academic standing.

The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award honors a male student from the senior class who has made significant contributions to university life while demonstrating outstanding spiritual values.

University of the Cumberlands graduate Dr. Nikhitha Yathiraju has won the 2023 International Best Researcher Award from the International Society for Scientific Network (ISSN).

The Gorman Jones Campus Leadership Award is given to a graduating senior who has exemplified the roles and qualities of leadership on campus while maintaining high academic standing.

Manvitha Gali, a doctoral student at University of the Cumberlands, recently won a gold Globee Award as the 2023 Professional of the Year in the category of Security Cloud/SaaS.
