UC Students Help Purchase Gifts for Children
On Dec. 2, minutes before midnight, 108 student-volunteers from University of the Cumberlands gathered at the front of the Williamsburg Walmart store to shop for Christmas presents for local children.

University of the Cumberlands (UC) strives to instill Christian values and morals into the lives of their students and community, but when a student has a strong, positive family and upbringing pushing them to succeed in Christ's light, the student has nowhere to go but up. That is exactly the situation when it comes to UC's freshman Destiny Beattie (Williamsburg, KY) and her main supporter and cheerleader, mother, Cindy Hambrick, a UC employee.
