UC Women's Golf opened play on Monday in the Thomas University Fall Invitational. On a tough day of play, UC would finish the day in third place overall of nine competing teams entering play on Tuesday.

UC Volleyball continued their winning ways this past week earning two big victories over tough competition to move their overall record to 18-6 on the season and 7-3 in Mid-South Conference play. During the Patriots' wins, one Patriot would continue her stellar play and for her efforts was honored with another weekly award.

University of the Cumberlands tennis player Isabella Dale (SR/Invercargill, New Zealand) finished fourth at the ITA Oracle Cup after falling to second-seed Chiara Di Salvo 6-1, 6-4 in the third place match Saturday morning at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Wrestling team have officially begun their 2015-2016 season as they travelled to Franklin Spring, GA to compete in the Emmanuel College Tournament. The Patriot ladies wrestled extremely well and were able to have twelve wrestlers place within the top six of their weight class in the tournament.

The Patriot football team hosted the Knights of Kentucky Christian University on Saturday and did not disappoint in front of the home crowd. Scoring in all facets of the game, UC dominated the line of scrimmage all night as they defeated the Knights 52-7 to move to 3-4 on the season (2-1 MSC East).

The University of the Cumberlands had five different players each net a goal as they Patriots defeated Pikeville 5-0 in Mid-South Conference play, Saturday afternoon at the UC Soccer Field. With the win the Patriots improve to 4-8-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play while the Bears fall to 4-8 overall and 1-3 in MSC play.

The University of the Cumberlands women's swim team hit six NAIA "A" standards and eight NAIA "B" standard en route to a 212-53 win over Union Friday night at the Dinah Taylor Aquatic Center. With the win the Patriots improve to 2-0 on the season.

University of the Cumberlands tennis player Isabella Dale (SR/Invercargill, New Zealand) fell to top-seed Camille Gbaguidi of SCAD 6-3, 6-1 in the semifinals of the ITA Oracle Cup Friday afternoon at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club. The loss moves Dale to the third place match Saturday at 11:30 a.m. EST

The University of the Cumberlands men's swim team hit five NAIA "A" standards and nine NAIA "B" standard en route to a 195-75 win over Union Friday night at the Dinah Taylor Aquatic Center. With the win the Patriots improve to 2-0 on the season.

UC Archery hit the road this past weekend looking to capture their second straight USIAC 3D National Championship in Carrier Mills, Illinois. With 18 teams competing this past weekend, the Pats knew it would be a tough road to another title, but with some phenomenal performances combined with the consistent shooting efforts, UC came away with the USIAC 3D National Championship.

The University of the Cumberlands football team returns to conference play when they host Kentucky Christian Saturday night at James H. Taylor, II Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and is being sponsored by Holston Gases.

The Patriots were back on the road Thursday as they defeated the Thorobreds of Kentucky State University (KSU) 3-1 to earn their sixth straight win. This would be the second NCAA Division II matchup and victory for the Patriots this season as they dominated Kentucky Wesleyan 3-1 on October 8. This win moves UC to 18-6 overall and 7-3 in MSC play.

Samuel Beal (SR/Beavercreek, OH) earned his first NAIA Runner of the Week award as released by the NAIA today after his impressive fifth place finish at Queens Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte, NC, where Beal was also the first NAIA contestant to cross the line at this event. Beal ran an impressive 24:23.1 which tied a 20 year old school record at the Cumberlands. The record was previously held by Gareth Wilford in 1996.

The University of the Cumberlands men's and women's swim teams are back in action this Friday at the Dinah Taylor Aquatic Center when they host Union College Friday at 5 p.m. After a hot start to the season where men and women both swept Lindsey Wilson.

The University of the Cumberlands netted a trio of goals to defeat Shawnee State 3-0 in Mid-South Conference action, Wednesday afternoon at Shawnee Turf. With the win the Patriots improve to 3-8-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play while the Bears fall to 5-7 overall and 2-2 in MSC play.

UC Women's Soccer showed determination and drive on Wednesday as they took on the Bears of the University of Pikeville in Mid-South Conference action. The Patriots would dominate the game in possession and on the scoreboard as they shutout the Bears while scoring in double figures, winning the game by a score of 10-0. UC now moves to 8-7 overall on the season and 2-3 in MSC play.

Women's tennis player Isabella Dale (SR/Invercargill, New Zealand) is looking to make program history this week as she gets set to compete in the ITA Oracle Cup Thursday-Saturday in Surprise, Arizona. Dale enters the week as the fourth-seed and will face Victoria Monakhova from Olivet Nazarene in the first round Thursday at 11:30 a.m. EST.

University of the Cumberlands (UC) honored several alumni during Homecoming 2016 at the annual Alumni Luncheon, held Saturday, Oct. 8.

The Patriots took to the road on Tuesday for conference play as they defeated eighth-ranked Georgetown College (GC) 3-1. This victory marks school history by being the first ever road win for the Patriots volleyball team against the Tigers. This win moves UC to 17-6 overall and 7-3 in MSC play.

UC football entered a battle on Saturday night against seventh-ranked Lindsey Wilson College, but did not prevail as they would fall to the Blue Raiders 41-27 on Homecoming. Numerous Patriots would have standout performances, but two caught the eyes of many as they earned weekly honors from the Mid-South Conference.

After a fifth place finish this week at the Queens Royal Challenge, Samuel Beal (SR/Beavercreek, OH) was named the Mid-South Conference Runner of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday. This will be the fourth time this season that Beal has received this honor.

UC football returned home for the first time in nearly a month as they hosted the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College for their annual Homecoming game. It was back and forth for much of the contest, but late in the game Lindsey Wilson would surge ahead for a 41-27 victory over the Patriots, moving UC to 2-4 overall on the season.

The Patriots took to the road on Saturday as they defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College 3-1. The Panthers started off strong winning the first set, but the Patriots would answer back taking the final three sets. This win brings the Patriots to 16-6 overall on the year and extend their win streak to four.

The University of the Cumberlands men's soccer team was looking to post their first win over a ranked-opponent since 2011, but tenth-ranked Union scored the golden goal in the 96th minute to defeat the Patriots 1-0, Saturday afternoon at the UC Soccer Complex. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 11-2-1, while the Patriots fall to 2-8-2.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) women's cross country team traveled to Charlotte, NC this past weekend for the Queens Royals XC Challenge. The women would compete in the 5k race. The women had some strong performances and would finish 12 out of 40 teams.
