University of the Cumberlands volleyball player Jennifer Philpot (SR/Cincinnati, OH) was named a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, announced by the national office Tuesday. She becomes the second player in program history to earn All-American distinction.

Philpot and Ganser Earn AVCA Southeast Region Accolades

University of the Cumberlands volleyball players Jennifer Philpot (SR/Cincinnati, OH) and Megan Ganser (SR/Waterloo, WI) were selected to the All-Southeast Region Team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), announced by the AVCA Friday. Philpot earned All-Southeastern Regional recognition, while Ganser garnered honorable mention recognition.

After winning three races against Campbellsville, Christina Klouda (SO/Knoxville, TN) has been named the Mid-South Conference Swimmer of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday. This is the second time this season that Klouda has garnered this award.

Patriot Ladies Successful in Victory over Life University

The UC Women's Basketball team looked for their second Mid-South Conference win of the season on Saturday as they traveled to take on the Running Eagles of Life University. After leaping out ahead of Life early, the Patriots never looked back as they defeated the Eagles 80-67. The victory moves UC to 6-3 overall on the season (2-1 MSC).

The women's swimming team won all 11 events en route to a 154-33 win over Mid-South Conference foe Campbellsville Friday night at Powell Athletic Center Pool. With the win the Patriots improve to 3-1 in dual meets this year, including 2-0 against the MSC, while the Tigers fall to 3-6.

Wrapping up the 2016 portion of their schedule the University of the Cumberlands men's swim team won all 11 events en route to a 161-26 win over Campbellsville Friday night at Powell Athletic Center Pool. With the win the Patriots improve to 3-1 in dual meets this year, including 2-0 against the MSC, while the Tigers fall to 3-5-1.

Double the Fun: the McGaha Twins Continue Unique Cumberlands Legacy

For most athletes, qualifying for a national championship is the biggest goal, and for Maureen McGaha (SR/Beavercreek, OH) and Meg McGaha (SR/Beavercreek, OH) that accomplishment was a double-dip of excitement as the twins both competed at the 2016 NAIA Cross Country National Championships held in Elsah, IL. They became the third set of twins from Cumberlands to achieve this milestone since 1997.
