The 2021 recipient of the T.J. Roberts Campus Leadership Award from University of the Cumberlands is Matthew Fannin. The T.J. Roberts Campus Leadership Award is given to a graduating senior who has exemplified the roles and qualities of leadership on campus while maintaining high academic standing.

The 2021 recipient of the A.T. Siler Memorial Service Award from University of the Cumberlands is Katelynn Johnson. This award is presented to a female student in their junior year of study who is expected to make an outstanding contribution to their community in the future.

The 2021 female recipient of the H.N. & Frances C. Berger Award is Mallory Allen. The H.N. & Frances C. Berger Awards honor a male and female student from the senior class who demonstrate outstanding leadership and service to the university and to the larger community as a whole. Recipients must also demonstrate sound academic achievements.

The 2021 recipient of the Mary Mildred Sullivan Award from University of the Cumberlands is Kaelynn Abner. The Mary Mildred Sullivan Award honors a female student from the senior class who has made significant contributions to university life while demonstrating outstanding spiritual values.

The winner of the 2021 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award from University of the Cumberlands is Miguel Reis. The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award honors a male student from the senior class who has made significant contributions to university life while demonstrating outstanding spiritual values.

University of the Cumberlands held commencement ceremonies this spring to celebrate its newest graduates. Students in the Class of 2021 hailed from 40 states and territories as well as multiple countries. Graduates from the Class of 2020 were also able to participate in this year's ceremonies.

University of the Cumberlands held its annual student Entrepreneurship Pitch Contest on Friday, April 16 at the Hutton School of Business. In the contest, 7 student teams pitched their businesses to a team of judges with the goal of winning a grand prize of $1,000

Maggie Anderson, a senior at University of the Cumberlands, recently won Best Student Presentation at a virtual conference hosted by The Wildlife Society - Kentucky Chapter.
