Patriots Compete in USCA 3D South Regional
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Archery team had an excellent start to their 2015-2016 season on Saturday in the USCA South 3D Regional Archery Championship. There were 7 programs represented including UC, Kentucky Christian University, Bethel University, Southern Illinois College, Campbellsville University, Eastern Kentucky University, and Midway University.

Patriot Soccer Battles Back to Defeat Bulldogs of TWC
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Soccer team hosted the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan College (TWC) on Saturday for another non-conference matchup. The Bulldogs came in armed and ready as they scored the first goal of the game in the 3rd minute of play, holding a 1-0 lead at the break. The Bulldogs came out of the gate early with a 2nd goal, but UC would answer with 3 goals of their own for a 3-2 win over TWC. The win brings the Patriots' overall record to 5-3-1.

Cross Country Patriots Compete at Friendship Invitational
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Cross Country teams traveled to Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio to compete in the Friendship Invitational on Saturday, September 19th. This would be the second event for the men after coming off of an impressive showing in their first meet of the season at Centre College. For the women, this would be their first meet as a team.

Patriots Win 1st Game Under the Lights in Battle of the Cumberlands
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) took to their home field for the first time this season on Saturday as they hosted Cumberland University (CU) under the lights at James H. Taylor, II Stadium. It was an offensive onslaught between the two teams, but in the end it was the Patriots coming away with the win 49-41 over the Bulldogs, moving UC to 2-1 on the season.

Patriot Volleyball Defeats Bears; Win Streak Now at Six
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Volleyball Patriots traveled to take on the University of Pikeville (UPike) on Wednesday, September 16th as they looked to extend their win streak to six games and improve their record in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play. It would be a quick turnaround for the Patriots as they came off a straight set victory over Asbury University the night before.

Patriots Women's Soccer Earns Draw with Rams
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Soccer team hosted the Rams of Bluefield College on Wednesday in a non-conference matchup. The Patriots started off strong going into the half with a 1-0 lead, but the Rams would fight back to tie the game late to send it to overtime. After two golden goal overtime periods, the Patriots and Rams would end the contest in a 1-1 draw, moving UC's overall record to 3-1-2.

Lady Pats Golf Finishes 7th in Murray State Invitational
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team traveled to Murray State on September 14th and 15th to compete in the Murray State University Invitational. The tournament was held at the Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky. The ladies shot consistently both days, but were toward the middle of the pack as they finished in 7th place overall out of 12 competing teams.

Late Goal Plagues Patriot Soccer against Rams
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Soccer team looked to get back to their winning ways Wednesday as they hosted the Rams of Bluefield College. Both the Patriots and the Rams fought hard and had multiple shots on goal, but both defenses were superb and left the first half scoreless. The Rams would sneak a goal through late in the game to take a lead that UC couldn't recover from as the Patriots would fall 1-0 to Bluefield. The loss brings the Patriots' record to 4-3-1.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Soccer team traveled to Dayton, TN to take on the Lions of Bryan College. The Patriot ladies took the lead in the first half by finding the back of the net twice and never looked back. The Lions attempted to comeback but UC's offense was too strong, plugging another goal in the back of the net in the second half to solidify their victory by a final score of 3-0. The win brings the Patriots' overall record to 3-1-1.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf team began their 2015-2016 season with an outstanding victory in the Bill Sergent Invitational at Crooked Creek Golf Course. At the end of the two-day event, the Patriots held a total score of 570 (-6), finishing 11 strokes ahead of second place Cumberland University.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Soccer team traveled Tuesday, September 8th to Campbellsville, Kentucky to take on the Tigers of Campbellsville University (CU). The Patriots fought an uphill battle throughout much of the game as they would return home with the 4-0 loss to the Tigers. With the loss, UC would move to 2-1-1 overall and 0-1 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play.
